Madness in Houston
Wow… you know, just before I got to Houston in the fall of 2001, tropical storm Allison hit Houston. There was massive flooding and the whole city was basically under water. Now… just after leaving Houston, here comes Hurricane Rita. Sorry you guys…
I’m sure it feels like the twilight zone… I got sorta freaked out last night. I tried to call Sasha –> Network Busy… then Christie –> Network busy… then Luke –> Network busy. OMG - had it hit?!?! What in the world is going on?!?! Sasha finally called me so I knew that it hadn’t hit yet and I was able to sleep. Sounds like everyone is getting out of the city. It sounds like you all will have some fun adventures to tell but I am just not really sure that I would want to be there right now. Anyway, I’m glad ya’ll are gettin’ to a safe place. My prayers are with you and I’ll be in touch….
Shilpa… I hope you are not still making that flight to Houston - stay put. I’ll call you later!!

Man was the “system busy” phone chaos a nightmare. Especially for me…I LOVE talking on the phone. It was so hard to accept. I just kept repeatedly trying the same call…hardly any luck. I am so glad that my mom was genius enough to suggest leaving Wed. after work. Our normal 1 hour 45 min car ride was only 2 1/2 longer then usual. Sorry to ya’ll whom drove FOREVER!! Jessie even though you were glad you were not here….I wish you were!!!
