Culture Shock… what is it really?
So I’m back in the ‘ol IN and man is it good to be home. I’ve been home for a week now and I’m not sure sure that I’ve experienced culture shock per-se yet. I don’t know if you would qualify just standing around in shopping malls and staring at all the glorious, wonderful ‘crap’… listening to the beautiful, marvelous English speakers and smelling the delicious, yummy, overbearing smells as culture shock, but… well… I think that’s just what I am experiencing. The biggest difference that I am seeing between Budapest and America is the consumerism we’ve got here. The colors, lights, smells and sales… it’s all about buying, buying, buying and man this time of year is sure full of it!! It’s not a bad thing… it’s just the way it is here. It’s how we are raised and how we are influenced. I have really been enjoying just taking it all in. I’ve always enjoyed the ‘mall watching’… but this year I’m really truly appreciating it.
So far I’ve been to Logansport, Delphi, Greenfield, Westfield (Clay Terrace Area), Noblesville, Indianapolis (from Broadripple to Castleton to Keystone), and Lafayette. Off to Kokomo and Indy again tomorrow then up to Amboy. One more week here and so much more to do yet!! People to see all over this great state!!
I am realizing that I really do have the coolest, neatest family and friends ever. Really!! It’s good to be home!! I’ll be posting pictures as soon as I get around some high speed connection… dial up will take way too much time though. Stay posted!!
… and if I don’t get back here before- M E R R Y C H R I S T M A S !!!!!

Just wanted to tell you how good it was to see you and if I don’t see you before you leave, have a safe trip and call me when you get your Houston line working!!!!!!!! Love you and will miss you lots!
