The Worst Thing to Ever Happen

Your mobile phone is so so important in this day and age. There are a million different scenarios that I could come up with in which you would be totally helpless without a cell phone. Here’s just one example:

You are workin’ late, workin’ hard. Someone comes by your desk and says, “hey, I’m leaving now, driving right by your place. You want a ride?” You think, gosh, that’d be nice not to have to ride the metro, get home quick. Yeah. Let’s go. Your kind friend drops you off right in front of your door, you say goodbye and he drives off. Walkin’ over to the door you realize… crrraaaaaap! Forgot my keys!! No cell phone. No keys, no phone. Good idea takin’ that ride, wasn’t it? UGH.

So anyway, there are a million different stories that I could come up with. This is just one REAL LIVE incident that just happened to me.

Moral of the story is: don’t forget your keys… and more importantly: don’t lose your mobile phone. I have done both of these tonight.

The real worse thing to ever happen is that I have effectively lost all friends and families phone numbers. So, please, SEND ME YOUR NUMBERS! All numbers I’ve ever had too… please! :)

Hope your day is better than mine….. ;)

80’s Are Back, Baby!

So the style in Europe is a bit different than it is in the States. I think that in general people are more ‘free’ with their attire. It’s much more about making your own style statement rather than conforming to the already formed trends. So… I’ve done it. I’ve brought the 80’s back, baby! I got out the blue eye shadow, the big hoop earrings, the ‘ol jean jacket. heehee

Ok, ok, what really happened was that we had a retro party for work last weekend. It was a good time. It was fun to see everyone get all dressed up. The scary thing is that I didn’t have to buy anything - I had it all in my closet. eeks.

Here’s some more fun pix from the party… enjoy!

Check out these glasses

Two cool dudes/dudettes.

Dancin' it up!

Who IS this Tahran girl?!

OK!! Here she is!! The new roommate! This is Tahran Helmberger - brought to you straight from Minnesota:

A la Tahran

Yeah, it’s a little strange that she wears that dead animal on her head all the time but we all have our own little quirks, right? haha - Just kidding - she doesn’t actually wear that thing. We were at a market this weekend and both tried this funny animal hats on - see - I’ve got one too. heehee

My hat

So anyway… Tahran’s been living here for a little over a month and it has just been great - really. Am so glad to have a roommate again - been fun! And she is a reeeeeeeal sweet girl. She is from the good ‘ol midwest so we can bond there for sure and she has a real passion for the Lord - which is actually why she’s here. She is with Worship for the Nations (WFN) with the music ministry. Oh yeah - and she’s SUPER talented? Yep: smart, funny, beautiful, talented - SORRY guys - she is taken. :)

So anyway, just wanted to introduce her ‘cause you will be seein’ more of her. More of everything hopefully - I hope to pick this up more often - I know I’ve been lacking!! :( Now that spring is here though I am feelin’ more alive… ready to concur the world all over again. heehee

PS. Watch out USA - I’m on my way SOON…. ;)
